CML Awareness Day — September 22

The CML Society of Canada founded September 22 as CML Awareness Day in 2008 — chosen for the "9/22" link to the Philadelphia chromosome translocation, t(9;22), that defines CML. The international CML community adopted the date in 2011. It's the day our community — patients, care partners, and clinicians across Canada — comes together to raise awareness of chronic myeloid leukemia.

"Hope inspires our plans. Evidence and advocacy make our plans work."
